Join our Associate Member Char Norman for her opening reception for “Whispering Out Loud” this Thursday from 6-7:30pm as part of her Artist in Residence program for Art at Audubon! If you can’t make it to the opening reception, her work will be on display through July 26th!

This exhibit features weavings and sculptures that speak on the inter-connectedness of all things and the importance of a protective relationship with the environment and cultures around the world. Char routinely incorporates weaving, stitching, papermaking, and printmaking in her work as a metaphor for connections, mending, and blurring of borders. Equity and sustainability guide her work.

Congrats Char!

We’re a bit late to officially celebrate Core Member Tyler Thenikl’s First Place Juror Award for the 46th National Print Exhibition for his piece “The Harvested Horizon-Kayford Mountain,” an encompassing Stone Lithograph. Congratulations Tyler, we’re so proud of you!

We’re also sharing some photos from his recent Visiting Artist’s Residency at University of Wisconsin- Platteville where he worked on some beautiful photo-intaglio plates, as if he wasn’t busy enough! We’re lucky to have artists like Tyler who are committed to the craft and fine art of printmaking who are so generous with their time and energy!
