🎃 Henry has arrived… and so have more diapers!🎉

We received this surprise box of 200 Size 6 diapers yesterday, but we don’t know who sent them! 💖To our mystery donor: THANK YOU! Your gift is going straight toward supporting families in our community.

And with that, we are officially wrapping up our 11th Anniversary 11 for 11,000 Diaper Challenge! 🥳 We’re counting everything up and will be back VERY soon with our final total. 👀

In the meantime, meet Henry the Pumpkin, our official October mascot. 🎃 He’ll be keeping an eye on things around the diaper bank all month long!

A little more love came through our doors today. 💕

One donor spotted diapers on sale at Walmart and thought of the families we serve. Another family brought in clothing their children had outgrown, hoping another little one could enjoy it next.

Diapers, wipes, clothes, baby essentials 💪big or small, these acts of kindness keep useful items moving right back into our community. 🎉

Thank you to the families who donated diapers, baby gear, and gently loved children’s clothing to Power In Changing. And as you can see, some of our youngest helpers were happy to show off a few of the finds! 😊

These items don’t sit around long—they’re already finding their way into the hands of families who can use them. Thank you for continuing to help us support healthy babies and stronger families! 💕

Kinship caregivers—grandparents, relatives, and others who step in to care for children—play such an important role in keeping families strong. We’re always glad to uplift organizations doing meaningful work for families across South Carolina.

As we celebrate the final day of Diaper Need Awareness Week 🎉and 11 years of Power In Changing 💖we are excited to share one more reason to celebrate:

This week, we’ve seen our community take action: diapers donated, financial gifts made, community partners stepping forward, local recognition of the issue, and now an investment that helps us continue the work beyond this week.

💖Diaper need is about more than diapers.

As Diaper Need Awareness Week comes to a close, we want our community to understand WHY this work matters.

South Carolina faces an estimated annual gap of approximately 84 MILLION diapers for families with young children and low-to-moderate incomes.

But behind that number are real families.

When a parent has an adequate supply of diapers, it supports a baby’s health and hygiene. It can help a parent maintain childcare. It can help them get to work or school. And it can provide a little more stability in a household where every dollar already has a job.💖

That’s why, after 11 years, Power In Changing continues to advocate for diaper access as part of health, childcare and family stability 💖not simply charity.

And with a need this large, no organization can do it alone. 🎉🎉We are proud to work alongside agencies, community partners, donors and organizations across South Carolina doing their part to close the gap. 💖

💖What happens when women who are doing the work come together? 💖🎉💖Everybody leaves a little stronger.💪
We had the pleasure of spending time with the amazing women of WOW – Women of Wellness, sharing the story of Power In Changing — our 11 years of accomplishments, some of the lessons and pitfalls along the way, and where we hope to go next.

But what I loved most was that the learning went both ways. These women are smart, successful small-business owners with experiences and wisdom of their own, and I walked away encouraged, inspired, and having learned from them too. 💖

And they didn’t come empty-handed! 😀In honor of Diaper Need Awareness Week, they brought diapers to add to our 11th Anniversary collection and support the families we serve.

Thank you, WOW, for welcoming me, listening to our story, sharing yours, and supporting our mission. Women supporting women AND families 🎉that’s community. 💖

We are so grateful to the City of Cayce, Mayor Elise Partin, and Cayce City Council for proclaiming September 14–20, 2026 as National Diaper Need Awareness Week! 🎉

Our Lexington Hub Manager, Toni Crawford, proudly accepted the proclamation on behalf of Power In Changing and shared a few words about the work we are doing to support families throughout Lexington County. 😃

Having our local community recognize that diaper need is a real need 💖and that diaper access contributes to healthier babies and stronger families 😃means so much to us.
