Breaking news: Texas blocked BOI requirement. Currently the site to file is blocked leads than a month before the deadline.
Corporate Transparency Act Blocked Nationwide by Texas Court The Corporate Transparency Act and its implementing regulations, which require US business entities to report stakeholder information to the Treasury Department, were preliminarily blocked nationwide by a Texas federal court on Tuesday.
Head’s up…scammers are trying to call and pretend to be the department of labor or other government agencies to try and get info from you or send you data. Government agencies will not call you. They will snail mail you or email you. Do not give out any information to the callers.
I just got one from someone claiming to be from the Dept. of Labor in a state I don’t reside in and they called my business by the wrong name. It was easy to call out but they may have more accurate information for other businesses.

Bet you didn't know that know that all QuickBooks ProAdvisors have to re-certify every year? QBO is an ever evolving and expanding software. In order to say up to date on the tools that allow us to help you run your business, it is required that we take additional training and pass an exam. (I thought I was DONE with exams after college, ugh!)
Anyways, I passed! Yay!

If you haven’t filed your taxes yet, go file an extension NOW. ⏰ There is no penalty for filing an extension. If you have a corporation, an extension has to be filed for the business (should have been done already) and also got your personal taxes by April 18. 📃
No shame in extensions! Many times it is beneficial to do so. It’s better to make sure they are done right the first time than rush them and have to amend or miss out on 💵 .
BUT even if you are filing an extension, Uncle Sam wants his 💰 now. If you think you may owe money, you will need to make an extension payment for your estimated tax liability.

Unclaimed Property for yourself or your business!!!
So every state has a fund for unclaimed property. This happens when a business pays someone, could be a paycheck or even a reimbursement for overpayment or something like that, and that check never gets cashed. Eventually the business turns that money over to the state and if it’s yours, you can claim it.
I help my clients submit money to these places of their employees don’t cash a check and they cannot reach them.
I have found close to $200 in unclaimed money this evening and more for family and friends. You may have some too!
Google unclaimed property and your state. Make sure to go through .gov sites. Sometimes that site will take you to a .com but just make sure you get there through your government site. Don’t want anyone to get phished.
Look up your name, married and maiden. Check any state you have ever lived in.
