Celebrate the Lord’s Supper with Christians from all around the world this Sunday, October 4 at 10:00 CDT. Afterwards, church members are invited to stay for a meeting in the sanctuary led by our congregation’s Leadership Team.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

There’s something a little comforting about Jesus telling his disciples that they’re going to face hardships. Validating, isn’t it? To know that we are seen in the struggle but with the comfort of knowing that we aren’t alone. Jesus did quite a bit to ensure that our struggle, hurt, and pain is not for nothing. Everything he did in his time on Earth served a greater purpose. A purpose that served his people.

If you are going through a time of trials, remember this: a trial is a test of strength and endurance. It is not a permanent fixture. Seasons of struggle are not permanent fixtures. What’s permanent is Christ and the overwhelming love he had for us. We were built to endure and he came to bring us the peace and security we need to keep going. Life is difficult, but God made us stronger. Know that, and this week live your life through the struggle remembering that God made you stronger than the hurt and that Jesus overcame it so you can do the same.
