In our travels we enjoy reminiscing about the places we've gone and the things we've seen across our great state. Things like taking family road trips, stopping in the middle of the night to get gas, watching the sun come up as we drive along a long highway, knowing there are still miles and miles to go. Moon high in the Texas night sky.

Orions Nebula over Lake Livingston tonight and a pic of the night sky. In the night sky you can see Orions Belt towards the top right. Orions Nebula is just to the right of the bottom star in Orions Belt.
Orions Nebula is about 1,400 light years away. The light is the pic happened around 1,400 years ago.

Eagle Nebula
6,500 light years away. The light we see happened 6,500 years ago. Always blows my mind. P**f.
Pillars of Crwatio in rhe middle. Need more time to get it a little more defined.
