Our goal is to educate people about domestic, fancy pet rats with the hope you will understand them and perhaps fall in love with one or two and maybe adopt or foster a few.
The purpose of this web page is to introduce you to these amazing rescued rats and tell their stories. They should have never been born but, through carelessness, they are here. This is a cautionary but true true tale from my perspective only. The other people involved may have an entirely different tale to tell.

Modified chicken coop. Thank you Amanda for your kind donation! If any of you in the 305 area would like to help, I could use any size, used, metal cages in any condition. I will use them as parts to assemble new cages. I would also appreciate usable pet paraphenalia like water bottles, ceramic pet dishes, and exercise wheels, or even money to help with the food and bedding materials.
There are estimated to be 80 rats in the colony and they range in age from about 2 years to 6 weeks. I am doing my best to care for them and find them permanent homes in groups of 2 or 3 of the same s*x.
If any of you in the 305 area would like to help, I could use any size, used, metal cages in any condition. I will use them as parts to assemble new cages.

I don’t know the ending of this story as it hasn’t happened yet. Once I fill you in on the back story, I will move forward with real time posts.
