.The Homestead….

I remember around 1965, Mom and Dad got a form in the mail to buy an aerial photo of our homestead. Back then, some enterprising photographer would hire an airplane to fly over a farm so that they could take a photograph.

I don’t remember how much the ‘framed print’ would have cost but I don’t imagine it was much over $100 but in today’s $$ we would be looking at about $900.

These digital drone photos are well within anyones budget at 1965 prices!

Sunflowers at Hinton Farms!

Another beautiful evening on the farm! Friday, 8/26, we will be open from 4pm to 8pm for sunset! Saturday and Sunday we will be open from noon to 8pm like last weekend. We are anticipating that this will be our last weekend of the season. Some of the older blooms are starting to hang their heads. SO if you missed last weekend, make sure you don't miss this one! Hope to see everyone there.

Reminders:
1. There is no entry fee, but there is a donation box next to the entrance of the field. Donated funds will go to support the local animal shelter! We'd love it if you would join us to support their cause!
2. Once you are on NE 100 look for the signs! Refer to the video on our page, or message us if you have questions. (Address is 149 NE 201 RD Clinton, MO)
3. Bug spray is suggested. We don't used insecticides because we ❤️ 🐝! Jeans and old shoes/boots wouldn't be a bad idea either.
4. The sunflowers face east the majority of the day. You are welcome to walk the perimeter or just go straight on out into the patch.
5. Please park in the grass and don't block the drive!
6. If you pack it in, pack it out! Please do not leave water bottles, your car keys or your kids in the field. It isn't fun for anyone. 😆

Hinton Farms Sunflower Fields.

A great option for a bird's-eye view of any focal point.... this is the 'cabin' and fire pit at the farm. Trucks, tractor, horse trailer, out buildings and barn in early spring.
