Walnut Street Home
Sanding, staining & painting vintage and modern furniture pieces to get them ready for their second life.

I have had this sweet little French Provincial chest taking up space for over a year! It was on its way to the landfill when my sweet sister-in-law rescued it for me. Her area is always riddled with quality pieces left for garbage. The problem is we live two hours apart, so exchanging them is always a challenge, and my heart breaks when I have to turn them away.
Anyway, this “Paige Collection” piece has been saved and is waiting on a new home!

This piece really made me work for it! From hauling it down a third-floor walk-up to removing layers of stubborn, failing veneer... but boy, was it worth it.
Underneath that old exterior was solid mahogany and pine held together with beautiful hand-cut joinery. I’ve really been hitting the jackpot lately with these 19th-century treasures! I also learned something new: those sweet little drawers sitting on top were historically known as “glove boxes.” How cool is that?
I took some extra time to bleach the wood to even out the different species, but then I got stuck on the finish. As fate would have it, this piece got pushed to the back while I tackled some custom orders—one of them being “The Brittany.” We all saw how stunning that custom wash looked on oak, and I just knew I had to test it here.
Oh my gosh, it did not disappoint! This warm brown is absolutely warming my heart. I just can’t get enough of it!

This dresser set came to me through a referral from another amazing refinisher. This network of wonderful humans is a huge part of what keeps me inspired to do this work every single day!
As soon as these popped up in my messages, I was so excited to get my hands on them. The owner did a great job getting them started, but they were definitely a massive project to tackle. And as much as I LOVE bobbins, they are a total bu**er to strip and sand! Let’s just say I could probably qualify as a dental hygienist with the amount of dental picking I did to get these right. 😆
The finish is a complete custom color, now dubbed “The Brittany.” The formula is a mix of four different colors washed on, followed by a fifth color used as a toner during the topcoat process.
I am absolutely fawning over this set, but more importantly, the owner is loving them too. Thank you, Brittany, for trusting me with this gorgeous set! 🫶🏻
P.S. If anyone is interested in the color formula, feel free to shoot me a DM!

These custom nightstands were screaming for a makeover. After a failed attempt to keep them wood-toned, my client and I collaborated on a new vision and landed on SW Deepest Mauve. I was secretly doing a happy dance over this choice! This color is moody, elegant, and such a total vibe. These are no doubt going to be the stars of the room.

This sweet pine table is officially the last piece of my furniture haul collection.
Not long ago, she was tucked away and forgotten in the corner of an antique market, just waiting for someone to see past the years of grime. After getting her home, I carefully peeled back the old finish to reveal that gorgeous, 150-year-old pine hidden underneath.
She is absolutely bursting with charm and character. Every little mark is a tiny memory from her long life on this planet. Now, she’s all cleaned up, glowing, and ready to be the perfect “forever” antique in a new home.

Dear Ruby, thank you for the inscription…
I found your beautiful stand and couldn’t help but smile when I saw your note from 1980 tucked away on the drawer. Knowing this piece was already 125 years old when you had it makes my heart so full. It’s lived through so many stories, and I’m just lucky enough to be part of its latest chapter.
I’ve given this solid Walnut treasure a little “self-care” day—stripping away the years to reveal that gorgeous, raw grain and sealing it with a soft, buttery wax. She’s glowing now, Ruby! From the hand-cut dovetails to those perfectly turned legs, she’s the ultimate mix of old-soul charm and modern-natural vibes.
She’s a “lone find” with a big personality, looking for a new corner to call home. Whether she ends up holding a stack of books by a bed or a vase of dried hydrangeas in an entryway, she’s ready for another 100 years of magic.

Can you ever go wrong with an 1800s tiger oak serpentine Eastlake? The answer is a hard no.
Like so many of the pieces I bring home, this one was sad and neglected, but the bones of these antiques are built to last. This was a true restoration, staying true to the original finish and letting that gorgeous oak grain shine.
And the hardware… she’s just so glamorous now.

Another antique pine coming in hot!
Buried away in what I’m lovingly referring to as an “antique orphanage,” I spotted it and felt called to bring it into a new home.
I can’t wait for this one to become a true showstopper in its next home.

With a house full of furniture, I had zero business bringing another piece home… but gahhh, how could I not scoop up this gem? It’s super old, super special—and those white porcelain k***s? I just couldn’t walk away.
