Phila + Rachel Lorn of Mawn (byob) are trading Philly for Cleveland to cook with us around the fire. Their no-rules noodle house runs on family, Cambodian roots, Southeast Asian flavor, and a point of view all their own.

This piece is a striking homage to the blue-collar spirit of Cleveland, Ohio, inspired by the artist’s birthplace. Through its vivid storytelling and powerful symbolism, Major et Melior celebrates the perseverance, dignity, and unity of Cleveland’s people.

Ohio grown shish*to peppers. blistered over the coals and tossed in a tomato agrodolce. finished with olive oil, tomato sea salt and lardo.

cevapi. balkan uncased sausage, 50/50 ground lamb and ground beef. placed over garlic labneh. topped with tomato conserva.

arrowhead cabbage. grilled to order with taré and smoked butter. laid down on a bed of sumac labneh. topped with tomato harissa vinaigrette and smoked almond dukkah.
