Home of Dual Language! Buhrer is home of the first dual language education program in Ohio.
Buhrer Dual Language School is one of CMSD’s high performing school choices in a growing portfolio of quality school options, dedicated to the success of every child we serve. All classes are taught in English and Spanish, and Buhrer students become proficient in both. They also graduate with high school credit in Algebra I and Spanish I. While Buhrer is unique in its two-language approach, it uses widely accepted methods that spur student achievement in all subjects, including math and science. Buhrer has demonstrated its overall success through an Effective rating on the Ohio Report Card.

Thank you to all the SUPERHEROS that came out to support our scholars at the annual Father Figure walk held at Buhrer!
We had over 400 guests come and participate and show how important scholars are and that they are in school!

Just a quick reminder – Legal Aid is hosting TWO free legal advice clinics on the near-west side of Cleveland later this month.
Saturday, September 19 at Cleveland Public Library- Lorain Campus (8216 Lorain Ave) with check-in beginning at 10AM
Saturday, September 26 at West Side Catholic Center (3135 Lorain Ave) with check-in beginning at 10:30AM
At these clinics, our staff and volunteer attorneys will answer questions about civil legal issues related to housing, safety, consumer rights, health, family law, education, work, and income. Both clinics are first-come, first-served, with no reservations.
