Surgical suites are a lighting puzzle. Two massive OR overheads, medical equipment bouncing light everywhere, and a subject who actually belongs in the room while the camera crew very much does not.

Shot this for Kent State Works this week at Summa Health in Akron. Tom Sonnenstine is finishing his surgical residency there, and his undergrad at Kent helped set the table for where he landed.

The BTS frames are always the ones I come back to. And this crew is always worth documenting.

When does moving end & settling begin?

I would like to introduce our newest student employee, Joey Davis. Joey is a sophomore photography major in the school of Visual Communication and Design . We’re looking forward to watching him progress through his journey here .

Congratulations to all of the Summer 2022 . Today also marks 3 years for me . It’s hard to say how happy I am to be here without sounding like a dunce, so I’ll spare you the yaking. Excited to share in the accomplishments and journeys of all our new graduates. Good luck & God speed!
