Here’s a first glimpse of our upcoming spatial audio recording of Bernd Richard Deutsch’s monumental Urworte, led by Franz Welser-Möst 🎧

Recorded during the opening concerts of our 2025–26 season, Urworte brings us together with The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus in an hour-long work inspired by Goethe’s “primal words,” exploring fate, love, necessity, chance, and hope.
We’re sharing two sample tracks on October 2 and 16, with the complete album available November 13.

More music is coming to Adella this 2026–27 season!

We’re announcing eight live broadcasts and six new premieres, bringing our music to you, wherever you are.

We kick off the season on October 6, live from the Philharmonie de Paris during Franz Welser-Möst’s final European tour as Music Director. Tune in at 8 PM local time in Paris / 2 PM ET for Richard Strauss’s Four Last Songs with soprano Golda Schultz and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 8.

And while we look ahead, there’s plenty to explore now. Gramophone recently highlighted performances already streaming on Adella, praising our Orchestra’s “technical finesse” as “surely still second to none in the USA.”

The Musical Arts Association and the union representing the musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra have agreed to a new three-year contract, ending the strike and clearing the way for concerts to resume.

We are saddened to be forced to cancel the concert on September 26 at Severance Music Center because of the musicians’ strike.

Guests with tickets to this concert can obtain a refund for the value of the tickets or exchange the tickets for any future Cleveland Orchestra performance during the 2026–27 season by contacting the Severance Music Center Ticket Office

While we are disappointed by the union’s decision to strike, The Cleveland Orchestra administration remains committed to negotiating in good faith and reaching an agreement that is fair to all.

Despite our clear statement at the negotiating table that the latest offer we presented was far from being our final offer, the union refused to present a counterproposal on salary and instead decided to strike.
