FrontLine Service
Since its inception in 1988, FrontLine Service, formerly MHS, has been in the forefront of providing services to our community's most vulnerable individuals.
A non-profit, behavioral health agency, FrontLine Service operates the largest continuum of services to homeless individuals in the state of Ohio, providing shelter, transitional, and permanent housing services. Camp Bridges is just one month away!
Every year, campers and volunteers look forward to this special day of play and connection. With rock hunting, outdoor fun, a community art project, ice cream, nature walks and special guests, Camp Bridges gives children who have lost a loved one to violence or opioid overdose a day of play and relaxation where they can connect with other kids who have similar life experiences.
We still need volunteers! Sign up today to be a camp buddy and spend the day crafting, hiking and playing with a camper.

We are delighted to welcome our summer intern from the Cleveland Foundation, Lily Pinkerton. She will be with FrontLine until August, working on projects related to communications and development.
Let’s give her space to introduce herself:
Hi! My name is Lily Pinkerton, and I am very excited to be an intern with FrontLine Service’s development department this summer. I am a rising senior at Connecticut College and am majoring in English and sociology. I enjoy travelling, going on hikes and nature walks, and of course, going to Guards games in the summer. Growing up in Cleveland, I have developed a strong connection to the city and community which makes this opportunity especially meaningful to me. I am grateful to get to work with a nonprofit whose mission reflects a deep commitment to supporting Cleveland residents and fostering community connections through a wide range of essential services. This summer, I am looking forward to becoming more familiar with the daily operations of a nonprofit and to helping the team facilitate upcoming events such as Camp Bridges, which make FrontLine such a unique and special place.
Welcome Lily -- We are excited to have you on our team!

PTSD – Post Traumatic Stress Disorder – is a mental health concern that some people develop after they see or experience a traumatic event.
Six percent of the US population will have PTSD at some point in their lives, and the symptoms can look different for everyone.
Some common PTSD symptoms include nightmares, difficulty sleeping or concentrating, feeling angry or irritable, avoiding crowds, losing interest in things you used to enjoy, and feeling unable to trust others.
June is PTSD Awareness month. For information, resources and screening tools, visit www.ptsd.va.gov

When Pierre realized he had a surplus of bicycles, he connected with Rosemary, FrontLine's Associate Director of Trauma, to get them into the hands of young people in need of a ride.
After his first donation, Pierre reached out to members of his church community, who added their own gently used bikes to the collection.
Thanks to Pierre's ingenuity and generosity, FrontLine has been able to connect nearly 40 young people with bicycles that allow them to commute to school, work, sports practices, libraries and other community resources.
