I plan on taking this one to The Other Art Fair, presented by Saatchi Fine Art, in Dallas TX next month.

This painting, “Where the Sky Touches the Sea,” oil on canvas, sold yesterday to a collector who had purchased two other paintings of mine - OVER 20 YEARS AGO!

That got me thinking about a couple of things; first, I’ve been doing this artist thing for a looong time - makes me feel old or at least seasoned. Second, it’s nice to think about older paintings that have all but been forgotten about, are part of someone’s everyday life.

This little seascape is acrylic and oil on wood. The painting is textured with tiny cracks then covered in a thick layer of clear epoxy resin. The resin magnifies and intensifies the colors and texture.
