Just a little makeup joy for your timeline because I’m missing it 😘💄.

We often make plans without recognizing our own limitations as humans 🤷🏾‍♀️.
The question we don’t ask often is…well what if you get sick and your body doesn’t work like it used to? 🤒
Two days after I tried creating some makeup content with this look, I ended up back in the hospital for 9 days. 🏥
No it wasn’t the makeup 😂 that sent me there but the reality is sometimes our plans don’t work out the way we want to. Sometimes we have big disruptions in our life that change everything and it sucks sometimes. 🤯
Moral of the story: frustration and gratitude can both co-exist. It’s a journey when you’re battling a chronic illness or any experience where loss and grief are happening.

While battling an ongoing chronic illness, some days I wonder what to spend my time doing to keep me occupied.
If I’m honest my mobility has changed so certain things I used to be able to do, I just can’t and that’s ok!
For me lately, reading has been an outlet more than ever. My latest read “Lovely One” by Supreme Court Justice Kentaji Brown Jackson is one of those ones 👏🏾.

Been picking up more books lately as I rest and recover 📚.
Although I tend to non- fiction books, I was inspired to try out some fiction books that could be just as impactful 💭.

Life has been looking a little different lately 💕.
Somedays I can’t stand up on my own without having dizzy spells and while it’s frustrating, I can still beat this face and vibe to some music. 🎧

On this day, it’s important to think about what Jesus died for what we are willing to die for that is bigger than us. 🙏🏾
