Last call for tomorrow's brewing competition!

Our friends at Sivetz have put in a $250 cash prize for first place alongside some fun Barista Magazine and Rancilio prizes. There will be pizza from Good Pizza, birthday donut holes from Terrapin Donuts, plus w**e and spaghetts after final results. Friends, family, and industry friends who are not competing are welcome and encouraged to watch and join in the postgame festivity!

Birthday celebrations are only 2 days away! Big prizes available for first, second, and third place winners - and plenty of other giveaways and prizes for participants!

Friday brewers cup signups are still live! It's 40 minutes to take an unnamed beautiful coffee from Juan Medina to make the best version of the coffee possible. If you've signed up, first set of times will be released today! Link in bio to sign up.

Saturday the latte art throwdown will be downtown, with a Rancilio Silvia and two NuMilk home machines up for grabs!

Non competitor attendees are more than welcome to come by for either event, there will be food from local friends, snacks, and beverages at both.

Never met a better chilly Saturday to tell you that the Fall Menu is here! Fall Spice and Maple Miso have arrived, with more fun drinks on the way next week!

Friday and Saturday we celebrate our 5th birthday as a shop, and will have tons of events - lots of details in stories. Friday we have a "Chopped" style brewing competition, Saturday morning we are tasting coffees with our friend Juan at our Ohio City shop, and Saturday night we have a latte art competition downtown!

Lots of great prizes and delicious treats from our partners to share with everyone, can't wait to see you for it all!

The 3rd of our birthday events, a latte art throwdown at our downtown shop, 826 W St Clair Ave! Doors at 5:30, competition starts at 6.

For all interested baristas, the grand prize is a beautiful sage green Rancilio Silvia! Additionally, we have TWO at home NuMilk machines for prizes to placing competitors! Plenty of beautiful Created Co tumblers, Barista Mag swag, and cash prizes will be up for grabs. Snacks and beverages for all attendees will come in the form of spaghetts, HoneyBirch Bakehouse cake, Baked AF snacks among other bites!

Can't wait to host this competition at our new roasting space! Not only do we get to celebrate barista skill and experience with a unique style of competition, we will have a hang out at the space afterwards including bites from Terrapin Donuts, Baked AF, Spaghetts, and w**e from Matt's homebrewing dad!

There will be prizes including brewing equipment, merch, and straight cash. Judges will include Juan Medina who provided the coffee for the competition and Matt who owns Lekko and chose the mystery coffee.

We've got a jam packed weekend coming up! Help us celebrate our fifth birthday in style 🎂

For our 5th birthday, we're hosting an industry hang and couple of competitions in our newer spaces!

The first one is on Friday September 25th, LINK IN BIO!

1 coffee, 40 minutes, any tools you want. Brew better than the rest.

We will provide the roasted coffee which you will get to cup before time starts. Once the timer starts you get to begin working on a recipe. Use whatever tools you want to bring or use the ones we have in our roastery. Competitors may mineralize their own water or choose from an array of water recipes provided.

The coffee will be from Juan Medina at The Coffee Five Project, but no other information will be given until you cup the coffee upon arriving. The winner will receive 25% of the buy in as well as prizes to be announced. Competitors will get notes on their brews from the judges if they want it.

After the competition there will be snacks and drinks - we want this to not only be a competition, but a time for coffee enthusiasts to get together and celebrate our industry!
