BJJ black belt. See link for sponsors and instructional content
https://linktr.ee/Emilfischerbjj I set this page up for a couple of reasons:
1.
I want to obtain sponsorship to allow me to compete more.
2. I want an easy one stop page for my writing and competition highlights. I post everything on my personal page but I keep this page specific to my writing and BJJ career. If you like what you see here, share my content and share my page. The more "likes" my page gets the better! Thank you for reading this and for checking out my page.

This Saturday at Strong Style Training Center we are hosting 10th Planet Network black belt Erik Anderson for a donation based seminar. I've been training with Erik when he comes to town for years and he's a super technical grappler with a wealth of knowledge.
Have you seen these details?
I was talking to a friend the other day, and he mentioned he's been working on North South chokes and I offered to provide my insights on the position. I can count on one hand the number of times I've hit a conventional north south choke, but I use the position all the time to attack people. Here are some of the options i use.

Obligatory post tournament post:
Team showed up and showed out going undefeated today at .
I went to a draw against a tough opponent surviving some bad positions and getting in on some leg entanglements but ultimately we battled to a draw. I'm still knocking some of the conspicuously thick rust off but it feels good to be back out there.
My students did way better than I did, all winning their matches by submission.
won his match against a purple belt by triangle.
lived up to his ig handle and won yet another Arena match by electric chair
And last but not least got it done in style by armbar against a tough brown belt
I'm not happy with my results but I didn't lose... so hey, we went undefeated on the day which I guess is worth something đŸ˜…
Shout outs to (and his dad Joe) and for coming to support and coach.
In honor of the new OffYourBackBJJ chainlink gi here's a method of taking the back, attack and armbar and as they defense use their position to hit a quick arm drag.
Try it out!

Obligatory post-match post
Short version: lost the match by decision. Felt good to get back out there after an 11 month hiatus. My opponent was tough and soundly beat me positionally, but i had good moments including some very real looks at subs.
Longer version: As a competitor, I've had my ups and downs, having kids put a lot of my potential endeavors on hold because being at home with my kids is more important than winning professional horseplay and rough housing contests. That being said there is still work to be done, Jimmies to rustle and people to upset. I'm back. I'm gonna gradually ramp things up and see what's what.
The Adamas Jiu Jitsu / Heath Pedigo did great last night with Dante Leon in our corners.
As always shout outs to my students and training partners at Strong Style Training Center and Effective Jiu Jitsu and to the sponsors Seymour Yang Impact Mouthguards EDDY'S ON COVENTRY and North Coast Cryo
Up next for me is Arena Grappling
Come try one of my classes, we always have a good time
