Forever in love with you 💕

So crazy you are only a few months away from being a yearling... ahhh why can't you stay a baby forever 😭

Sorry ive been away, social media is hard some times. I run out of idea's for content. Its also been raining for the last week so there really isnt much happening over here. Comment some idea's youd want to see on this page to help me out a little!

Heres why I wean at 7-9months old instead of 3-4 months old

I love the method for gentle weaning. It helps with the transition to being away from mom without the stress of cold turkey-ing it. Heres how we do it at our stable.

We start off slowly by taking mom and baby into the arena then leaving baby in the arena while we walk mom to pasture. Where the pasture is to the arena they can still see each other.
Then once they are conformable doing this we move from the arena to a different stall.
After about a month of this they are comfortable being alone for awhile and then Ill separate them in the early morning to feed them grain then do turnout.

Ill make another post about the benefits of weaning later vs earlier tomorrow!
