Update on Sunday, March 2, 2025 Simon is still in need of donations for his surgery Please see below if you would like to give a directed donation to Trinity Veterinary Hospital in Simon’s name Every donation will help Simon
Hello everyone! Meet Simon, a PAWS Ohio rescued cat who has a big problem with his gums and teeth. One of our amazing vet partners, Dr Rob Schwartz examined him this past Wednesday, and now we have a game plan to fix his mouth so that he may find his forever home. The estimate is between $784.53-$1,031.53. This includes trimming away the affected gums, sending the tissue for biopsy, X-ray of his entire mouth, any teeth that need to be extracted, and all antibiotics. If you would like to donate directly in Simon’s name to Trinity Veterinary Hospital for his upcoming surgery, you can reach them at 440-968-5141. All donations for Simons care are deeply appreciated!
Geauga County Dog Warden and staff have state's highest adoption rate for stray dogs If a man's best friend is a dog, then a lost dog's best friend must be Matt Granito. Although he has the title Geauga County Dog Warden, Granito is more like a humane officer than a dog catcher. With a 97-percent success rate, his department has the highest adoption rate in Ohio.
If you have not had a moment to sign this very important petition please take a moment to do so. The dogs need you and your advocacy.

Our Story
PAWS Ohio is dedicated to the rescue of pets in NE Ohio. Our mission is to rescue stray and/or abused cats and dogs and place them in good forever homes. We provide medical care to rescued animals and foster them in our own private homes. Prior to adoption all rescued animals are spayed/ neutered so that they do not continue the cycle of births that result in more pets than homes.
The advantage of adopting a fostered animal is that we know all about our adoptable pets! They have lived with us and we know their personalities, habits, likes and dislikes.
We can help you find the perfect companion for your home and lifestyle! We are a progressive, educational, and do engage in programs to stop the over population of kittens through trap, neuter, and return . Everything we do is out of love for the animals, and to prevent disease and illness.
PAWS philosophy is that kindness to animals helps build a better world for all of us. Through the generosity of other caring individuals, we can ensure that animals who come into the care of PAWS will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid, or in pain.
