If you’ve seen a post, story, reel, or way too many heart emojis lately, you’ve probably crossed paths with me. I’m the one behind the screen helping share all the beautiful moments, friendships, and memories that make Mamahood so special 🤍
It takes a village to run a village, and we’re so grateful for every one of these incredible women who help make Mamahood what it is today🫶🏽
Four years ago, Mamahood began with a simple but powerful belief:
No mom should have to navigate motherhood alone. 🤍
What started as one mama with a vision has grown into a community filled with countless conversations, friendships, tears, laughs, milestones, and moments of “I’ve been there”
Over the past four years, we’ve watched strangers become trusted friends. We’ve seen babies grow from tiny newborns into curious toddlers. We’ve celebrated pregnancies, births, first birthdays, and new chapters. We’ve held space for one another through challenges, loss, uncertainty, and the beautifully messy reality of motherhood.
And through it all, one thing has remained the same:
The magic of moms showing up for each other.
To every mama who has attended a meetup, joined an event, shared her story, offered encouragement, sat beside another mom who needed support, or simply walked through our doors for the very first time—thank you.
You are Mamahood.
Today, we’re celebrating four years of community, connection, and the reminder that motherhood was never meant to be done alone.
Happy 4th Birthday, Mamahood. 🎂✨
Here’s to the friendships formed, the memories made, and all the moms still waiting to find their village.
We’re so glad you’re here. 🤍

✨ Mamahood is a community for new & expecting moms.
✨ We offer free weekly meetups on both the east and west sides of Cleveland.
✨ We believe in real talk, authentic connection, and creating space for moms to show up exactly as they are.
✨ Join us as we celebrate four years of building community, one mama at a time.
One of the things I value most about Mamahood is that the connections formed do not end when the meetups conclude 🤍
Today a group of us mamas gathered at a local winery while our little ones explored, played, and kept us all engaged and on our toes 😅
There was no agenda to accomplish—simply an opportunity to connect, catch up, and enjoy one another’s company.
Sharing stories. Celebrating milestones. Discussing challenges. Watching our children grow. Picking up conversations right where we left off.
One of the most meaningful aspects of Mamahood is seeing relationships that begin at a meetup continue to flourish beyond it. What starts as a conversation during circle time can evolve into playdates, coffee meetups, group chats, and friendships that become an important part of everyday life.
There is something truly special about watching these friendships deepen and grow long after those early newborn days.
Cheers to good company, happy little ones, and the community we are building together 🥂🤍

Officially popping in behind the screen 👋🤍
If you don’t know me already, I’m Jocelyn! — mama to Mateo & Paloma, meetup regular turned social media manager, and now one of the faces helping share all things Mamahood 🫶
I’ve always loved social media and the way it can bring people together, but what makes this role especially meaningful to me is getting to help support a community that has already meant so much to my own motherhood journey.
I’m excited to help continue sharing the real, relatable, supportive, and joy-filled moments that make Mamahood such a special space for moms. From meetups and milestones to the everyday chaos in between — I’m so happy to be here 🤍
I can’t wait to connect with more of you through the comments, stories, and meetups 🫶
I am BEYOND excited to share that Mamahood has a new Social Media Manager!! 🙌
Jocelyn Torres has been an integral and meaningful part of our Mamahood community for the past couple of years, and she beautifully embodies our core values of connection, support, and community. She’s the kind of person where you just want to give her a giant hug when you see her! 🩷 I can’t wait for you to get to know her.
And please know, I’m still here and very much reachable! I want to hear how you’re all doing, how Mamahood is feeling for you, any ideas you have, and honestly just… be friends with all of you 🥹
Reach me any time at [email protected] or shoot over a DM and Jocelyn will send it my way. I’m not really going anywhere!!
Look out for Jocelyn’s intro video, and stay in touch, mamas. Big hugs to you all. Over & out ✌️
xo,
Sarah

Some losses are spoken about openly. Others are carried quietly for years.
If your motherhood story includes pregnancy or infant loss — whether recent, long ago, early in pregnancy, or difficult to name — we want you to know there is space for you here.
This week, we’re gathering again for our Mamahood Loss Support Meetups: gentle, peer-led spaces for mothers who understand the complicated weight of grief, remembrance, and carrying loss alongside everyday life.
We also know walking into something like this for the first time can feel hard. There’s no expectation to share. No pressure to explain. You are welcome to simply listen, sit quietly, or come exactly as you are.
These gatherings are rooted in connection, care, and the reminder that you are not alone in this.
✨ West Side Loss Meetups ✨
Tuesday, May 26th at 7:30pm
Hope Yoga Studio in Westlake
✨ East Side Loss Meetup ✨
Thursday, May 28th at 7pm
Beachwood Library
To help create a quiet, supportive environment for everyone attending, these meetups are adult-only spaces.
If this feels like something you’ve been needing, we’re here. 💛
And if you know a mama who may need this space, we’d be grateful if you shared this with her.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing mamas, from me & my littles to you & yours! 🌸
I started Mamahood because I felt like the thing I needed most through my first year of motherhood was being around other new moms who would just *get it*.
I didn’t set out to start a nonprofit. I didn’t set out to bring together what’s now been hundreds and hundreds of moms in Cleveland.
I just said - new moms need friends they can really talk to, and someone should do something about it. I looked around and realized no one else was 🤷♀️ so, I went for it.
I never would have imagined the ever-growing community we are today, 4 years later. I never would have imagined the impact we’d have simply by offering women a space to share openly, vulnerably, without judgment. I certainly never imagined so many moms saying things like 👉 “this saved me” or “I wouldn’t have survived this first year without Mamahood.”
I say all of this as humbly as possible, because I just offered the space. You all filled it. 🩷 You each chose to put yourselves out there and say out loud what’s real for you - as beautiful or difficult as it may be. You held each other up, you made these lasting bonds.
And while we’ve already created the most incredible community I could hope for, we’re also still just beginning! There are SO many more new moms and new-moms-to-be out there who need to know they’re not alone.
✨ So I’d like to ask today, for Mother’s Day - if this community has mattered to you, or if you simply share in our belief that no mom should have to mother alone - if you’d consider giving back to our nonprofit. ✨
Your donation, whatever the size, helps us continue making our first-year mom meetups, loss support meetups, alumni meetups, and Big/Little mentorship program free & accessible to all.
