Breadwinners Academy
Breadwinners Academy is a Cleveland based non-profit that teaches financial literacy in schools

Business Partner of the Year ๐
This one means a lot.
Not because of the plaque, but because it is proof that collaboration works. Schools, nonprofits, businesses, educators, and community partners all have a role to play because no one organization can support the whole child alone.
Through this partnership, students are opening bank accounts, building financial plans, launching businesses, and accessing paid work based learning opportunities over the summer.
That is the power of partnership.
That is the power of community.
Grateful to Heights Career Tech for believing in Breadwinners Academy and allowing us to grow together
We are hiring.
This summer at Breadwinners Academy, weโre moving with a different mindset.
Wealth is a marathon
Not a sprint
Run a lap with us
As we continue to grow, we are building a strong SQUAD to support our students across Northeast Ohio.
We are currently hiring for three roles:
Operations and Grants Coordinator
Youth Entrepreneurship Program Leader (Dream Chasers Summer Program)
Summer Financial Literacy Program Leaders
This work is real. We are in classrooms and communities helping middle and high school students build financial plans, launch businesses, open bank accounts, and think differently about money and ownership.
We are looking for people who:
show up with purpose
communicate clearly
can manage multiple priorities
care about impact and community

of the 2nd annual Financial Flex Academic Challenge
04/23/2026
80 students entered. Three schools rose to the top. One champion was crowned.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2026 Financial Flex Academic Challenge:
๐ฅ John Marshall High School
๐ฅ Maple Heights High School
๐ฅ John Hay High School
From the Sweet 16 to the championship stage, these students demonstrated knowledge, teamwork, and composure under pressure across budgeting, credit, investing, taxes, and insurance.
They did not just answer questions. They competed.
What happened at Financial Flex was bigger than a competition. It was a reminder that when young people are equipped, challenged, and believed in, they rise.
And candidly, I am still taking in the fact that this came to life. What began as an idea became a real stage for students to shine. To see it filled with energy, scholarship dollars, community support, and young people rising to the moment is something I will never forget.
More highlights and gratitude to come. Today, we celebrate the champions. ๐

I AM A BREADWINNER.
At Breadwinners Academy, we meet students where they are and mentor them into who they are becoming. That includes placing them in rooms like this where they are exposed to excellence, relationships, and possibility.
Events like this matter. Students learn how to show up, how to work a room, how to introduce themselves with confidence, and how to see themselves as belonging in professional spaces early.
Every student in this photo represents potential and future leadership. Being a Breadwinner is a mindset rooted in ownership, preparation, and purpose.
Teaching with intent.
Engaging with purpose.
Striving for impact.
