4 Reasons why the Clemson Men's High School Rugby Camp should be on your calendar ⬇️
1. You will PLAY. Lots. 80% of the time.
Fast Reps.
Less Drills.
More Games.
All out Attack.
2. You will train on lush green grass - NOT HOT turf that feels like concrete - and melts your cleats.
3. FULL Access to the Field, Pool and Clubhouse - come experience what Clemson rugby players get to experience daily. How good.
4. If College Rugby is on your radar, add Clemson to your campus visits this Summer. Join me at the field. Take a campus tour - spend some time at the lake.
Come experience it for yourself.

*This is NOT an overnight camp. If you're looking to stay in dorms - this is not it.
This will be 1 full day. And you'll walk away wanting more.
But feel free to hang out here for the weekend - bring your family and get on the lake!
Speed up your reps - push your boundaries - it's okay to make mistakes when you're in that space.
Don't sit in the comfy chair all the time.
Find a way to make your extras more challenging (and play games wherever possible!)
Give it a crack and see how it goes.

How'd you go?
Quality over Quantity!
Don't sugarcoat it.
I see this a fair bit.
Players load up for a big spiral pass.
As they load up they start to get off balance.
: what's 1 tip you'd give a player who does this?
Change the gears 📈🚘
Most players repeat the same comfortable drills when they train skills.
Then the game arrives and everything speeds up and it's a struggle.
The best players who execute under pressure usually train skills in different ways during the week!
The passing drill in this video is pretty simple right?
2 balls.
3 players.
But we can change the gears and make it more challenging: speed up the pass & reps, change the distance, perform 50 reps after you run 1 broken bronco rep as fast as you can and more.
Try mixing these into your extra skill work ⬇️
-Speed
-Fatigue
-Pressure
-Slow & deliberate
Each one prepares you for a different moment in a match.
Get that ball in front! Here's a drill you can do by yourself. Give it a crack.
👀 Do this next time you watch film.
1. Count how many passes you make
2. Then give each pass a rating 🟢🔴 ⬇️
🟢 Pass in Front
🔴 Pass over the shoulder - or behind
Look closer!
Same thing can be applied across kicking in game, tackling and more.
