June is National Safety Month, and at AFP, it's an opportunity to recognize something that guides our work every day.

Whether we're installing fire protection systems in a high-rise, coordinating with other trades on an active construction site, or performing inspections in occupied facilities, safety remains our top priority.

Through ongoing training, job-site awareness, and a commitment to following established safety procedures, our team works to protect not only ourselves, but also our clients, project partners, and everyone around us.

This National Safety Month, we're proud to recognize the employees who help make safety a core part of AFP's culture every day.

Fire code compliance is about more than passing inspections.

It’s about protecting people, property, and the day-to-day operations that keep facilities running safely.

At Associated Fire Protection, we help clients stay ahead of compliance requirements by supporting inspection schedules, maintaining accurate documentation, and addressing deficiencies quickly before they lead to downtime, violations, or increased risk exposure.

Because when fire protection systems are properly maintained and code-compliant, they’re ready to respond when it matters most.

From the ground floor to the 17th story, this project was built with protection in mind.

AFP completed fire protection installation for this high-rise project in North Hills. The scope included a full wet pipe sprinkler system, four levels of pre-action protection, an electric fire pump, and standpipe systems designed to support the building from top to bottom.

Every project comes with its own challenges, and this one showcased the experience, planning, and teamwork required to execute complex fire protection solutions at scale.

At AFP, we know our greatest strength isn’t just the systems we design or the projects we complete — it’s the people behind them.

Our culture is built on trust, accountability, hard work, and people who genuinely care about each other and the work they do. That’s what drives our commitment to protecting what matters most. From the field to the office, every individual plays a role in the culture that drives our work forward each day.

We’re proud of the people who make AFP what it is and grateful for the dedication they bring to our customers, partners, and one another.

May is Electrical Safety Month — a reminder of how critical electrical fire prevention is in commercial and industrial environments.

According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), electrical distribution and lighting equipment are one of the leading causes of nonresidential structure fires, contributing to thousands of fires in commercial and industrial properties each year.

When electrical failures occur, fast and reliable fire protection can make all the difference.

At Associated Fire Protection, we design, install, and service fire protection systems built to help contain fires quickly, protect and notify occupants, and reduce damage to facilities and operations.

Protecting What Matters Most.

A recent project we completed provided a powerful reminder of why fire protection matters.

Following a kitchen fire caused by a stove incident at a senior community, a single sprinkler activated as designed and controlled the fire before it could spread—helping protect lives and significantly limit property damage.

In a setting where many residents were at risk, this system performed exactly as intended.

This is why we do what we do. Protecting What Matters Most is more than a tagline—it’s our mission.

Grateful for the role fire sprinkler systems play in safeguarding both life and property every day.

At AFP, our Buffalo Culture Code says: WE ARE ALWAYS MOVING.

That means we are life-long learners and expect everyone on our team to continue growing, improving, and stepping into new challenges every day.

Today, longtime AFP team member Craig Collins (Service Mgr.) spent time in the field with Reed Russell (Designer) for a “Field Trip Day” doing service work hands-on in the field. We love seeing seasoned team members pour into the next generation, and we love seeing our team willing to step outside their normal role to learn something new.

Well done Craig and Reed — way to BE THE BUFFALO today. 🦬
