Let’s do something low-key, creative, and community-building..... at THE MOVIES! Join us for a Sunday Story Matinee Event watching The Sheep Detectives!

Make.Do. is hosting a private screening event at Cinemark Theaters in Oakley on Saturday, June 14th at 1pm and we’d love to see you. Bring your WIPs, your UFOs, and let’s hang and watch a movie together on a Sunday afternoon while we make stuff!

Tickets include admission, a drink, popcorn, and a pretty swell swag bag!

Not yarn or fiber related, but 100% another post that evinces the chaos that is us! Our two Isaac and Peru are having a sleepover this week and it is TERRIBLE and FANTASTIC at the same time. Isaac and I convinced to Peru’s mom to let us watch her new rescue while she was out of town. I forgot about puppies. Why are their teeth so sharp? When do they sleep? Why do they go outside to p*e and then come back in and p*e again? Why do senior dogs revert to zoomies all day when confronted with puppies? We are having a blast and you can come through on Friday to experience the chaos and joy in real life! will also be making an appeaarnce on Saturday to kick off Hot Purl Summer!

Get comfortable with your sewing machine in this beginner-friendly class! Whether you’re brand new to sewing or need a refresher, this hands-on workshop will teach you the essentials of threading, tension adjustment, stitch selection, and troubleshooting common issues. You’ll practice basic stitching techniques and gain confidence all while making your very own shirt from a pillowcase! With expert guidance and plenty of hands-on time, you’ll leave feeling empowered to start sewing with ease. Bring your own machine or use one of ours—either way, you’ll be ready to stitch in no time!
