We’re proud to recognize Access Driver Latasha Underwood for her quick thinking and compassionate response during a recent medical emergency involving one of her passengers.

Latasha, who has been with Metro Access since 2017, noticed signs of a possible stroke during a trip earlier this month and acted quickly to help ensure the passenger received emergency medical care as soon as possible. Her actions played a critical role in helping save the passenger’s life and improving the chances of a full recovery.

In recognition of her dedication to our riders, Latasha received a CEO Star Award today from Metro CEO and General Manager, Andy Aiello. She was also honored by Goodwill on Thursday, May 14, with a special plaque for going above and beyond in support of their employee.
