Congratulations to Martin Pasi and his excellent crew, who have just built a very fine and important instrument for Mount St. Mary's seminary here in Cincinnati. Kudos also to Dr. Kola Owolabi who played an amazing dedicatory recital this past Sunday, and to Dr. Mary Catherine Levri who initiated this projected and shepherded it along to a most successful completion. Here Jefimija and I share a farewell luncheon with our longtime friend and colleague, wishing him gute Reise and alles Gute as he moves on the the next exciting phase of his rich career as Orgelbaumeister.

M. P. Rathke, Inc. is seeking an experienced cabinetmaker to join our workshop, which specializes in the design, construction, and restoration of fine mechanical-action pipe organs. The successful candidate will have proficiency in milling and fabrication, including but not limited to traditional joinery. We would also consider an individual with related general organbuilding skills. Ours is a small, congenial shop based on an ethos of mutual respect at all times; an ability to get on well with others is therefore especially important.
We offer paid vacation, paid sick days, paid bank holidays, and flexible work hours. Interested candidates are invited to send a resume and short letter of application to Michael Rathke at [email protected]
More information about our past and current work may be found at rathkepipeorgans.com, which remains accessible even as it is currently being updated.
