Etxe (pronounced et-chay) means "home" in Basque—and that's the feeling this Cincinnati steakhouse creates for every guest.

That’s a wrap on June 11.

Five courses. Five wines. One room full of people who came for a good dinner and stayed for something more.

Eduardo Nogués brought R. López de Heredia, Fraga do Corvo, and Bodegas Mokoroa to Cincinnati last night — and the pairings spoke for themselves. Thank you to everyone who was at the table. Nights like this are what Etxe is built for.

In this steakhouse, the chicken demands to be taken seriously.

We respect that.

Poulet Basque — half chicken, tomate, manzanilla olive.

Preview the pairings for this Thursday’s wine dinner.

We’re pulling back the curtain on the full pairing menu for our wine dinner with Eduardo Nogués of Think Global Wines — and every course was built with intention.

Txakolina Rosado with pintxos. A Godello from Monterrei alongside braised octopus and gambas. A 2015 Viña Bosconia Reserva with simply grilled Ibérico Secreto. And a 2013 Viña Tondonia Reserva — one of Rioja’s most iconic bottles — paired with Freedom Run Farms grilled lamb chops.

Swipe through each course and see exactly how it all comes together.

He’s been firing up that grill for thirty years.

Give him a night off. Etxe gift cards are available now directly through our website — because some dads are rare, and the rare ones deserve to be seen.

Friday is better shared.

Jamón Ibérico. Aged Manchego. P’tit Basque. Chorizo Picante. Served with almonds, membrillo, and grilled bread — made for the middle of the table, not just one plate.

Grab your people and hope to see you!
