The Super Mario Galaxy Movie hits theaters April 1, 2026. We just added a retro gaming console to Turtle Ranch! Show your kids how the game was originally played and whoop some Bowser butt!

There is still time for a quick getaway to be planned for spring break! Treat the kids and yourself to a trip to the zoo and explore all of the free parks and playgrounds we have throughout the city.

Where was the giant snowman this year?
Out of an abundance of caution and for our sanity, he stayed deflated in the garage. Here are some lessons learned:
1. If you find a giant blowup at a clearance outlet, it is probably there for good reason.
2. The provided small plastic stakes are not sufficient… at all. Even reinforcing with t pole stakes was no match for this guy. He kept blowing down and eventually got launched on the roof and then we called it quits.
3. It was totally worth it to make the holiday special for the little boy and his family staying with us that Christmas ❤️

The Christmas decorations are up at Turtle Ranch! We had our first big snow and making the house festive felt great.
We’ve been wanting to do this for a while.
It is fun to step back in time and see how how older generations listened to their music. Our parents had record players growing up, so we got to experience putting a vinyl album on the player, watching it spin around, and hearing the static switch to music as the needle got to the song. At Turtle Ranch, we now have a record player for guests to have that same retro experience and enjoy the nostalgia of classic albums.

Sweat Equity Sunday! We took advantage of having an open weekend to make some fun updates.
*String lights added outside on the patio for this beautiful fall weather coming up.
*New landscaping added and yard cleaned up.
*Basement got a fresh paint of white so it is ready for a mural.
Now it’s time to eat our carryout and crash.

Here is why we chose to name our Cincy rental “Turtle Ranch”…
Ryan is a child of the 80s and he grew up watching Top Gun. How much did he love it? He became a pilot in the Navy and flew with the Jolly Rogers Squadron 103. That’s him in the picture. During Flight School, the show Entourage on HBO was popular. Ryan was given the call name “Turtle” by his squadron because he reminded them of the character Turtle from Entourage. He dressed super casual and he was always driving them around.
So, when we had to choose a listing name for Ryan’s ranch-style house, Turtle Ranch was the obvious choice 🐢 I’ts a fun nod to his nickname and highlights one if the best features of the house- one-story living.
