My CLEVELAND CLINIC TESTIMONY
I recently was sent to Cleveland Clinic for surgery that had been denied by my previous "class A" Cincy surgeon. The record of a Gastro specialist and also my former surgeon agreed that I needed to be referred out to CC, stating that it was a risky surgery with a very high rate of complications. My Ileum was found to be closed off to the opening of 3mm.Very small indeed! I had not been able to keep all my food down for many months. During this time, I had become malnourished and fairly weakened. One said that we have a big problem" as I awakened from double scopes. CT scan showed all the detailed of a blockage and widespread serious results of inflamed, ulcerated small intestine. Area being 15cm plus ulcerated unknown measurement. Yet many "unknowns" and Crohn's Disease met my known and faithful LORD!

After 2 visits to Cleveland preparing for the 3rd for surgery, I was cleared. Doctor David Liska was, the chair of the colorectal surgery dept, wanted my case! FAVOR! My daughter Carrie Walls-Suarez took off time from her leadership position at work in order to take me to MRI, CC visits and staying with me throughout the hospital stay. She even stayed a few days with me when we got home :) (SHOUT out to Carrie!!!) She was an amazing support and gave up much for me during this time. God has seen all your sacrifices made at a pivotal time in your own life, for me. NO amount of thanks is enough. I appreciate you, and love you dearly. It could not have happened without you. We had to find a place for her to stay and for the night before surgery check in and for me also. After much searching with slim pickings around the campus, she found a small apartment Airbnb. It was perfect and available that week. It was perfect for our situation- right across the street, with walking a very short walkway from an entrance straight into CC.! No fighting for parking, 3 minute walk from apartment for Carrie during the week. Only 5 steps for me to tackle the day before and day of Hospital release.

My sister Holly insisted on helping with the costs! (SHOUT OUT to Holly!) She also helped take care of my kitties at home :) She Has been doing my laundry since my washer broke (still isn't fixed lol) and for meals, and helping around the house and much more! AND TY for gifts and flowers :) She has a heart of Gold. SHOUT OUT to daughter Shelby Downing for taking care of my kitties, and meals, and help around the house since I have been home. Also for check ins by phone so many times I lost count! Flowers were beautiful!
SHOUT out to daughter Lindsay for all the prescription pickups, meals, and taking me (TY JUSTIN) to ER Sunday for my incision. We caught it early! TY Lindsay/Nora for help that night around house.

I had been "tatted" for a stoma. The Drs. were certain I would have one. The surgery was est. to take quite a few hrs. They made preparations for my special bed in my room due to severe spinal stenosis and scoliosis diagnosis. (expecting healing any moment for these!TY JESUS) I had a team of many different specialists in the surgery room. Cardio anesthetist, Spinal tap block Dr., My surgeon and his assistant, among others also on the team. Once in the surgery room, they all surrounded my bed, introduced themselves and what they would be doing and taking my questions.

It ended at my Surgeon Dr.Liska at head on the right. He asked if I had any more questions. I replied, "just one. May I pray for all of you now?" He said , "yes, by all means." Everyone bowed their heads around my bed, 8 surrounding me and the few in the background stopped where they were. I had the Lord bring this moment to my mind several times in the past weeks and asking to pray for them. I prayed calmly, and I knew the Lord was pleased. A covering, a blessing for everyone involved to be lead in wisdom, for their families and more. They all seemed appreciative. the guy at my feet said," let's do this!" And that's the last thing I remembered.

After waking up in the holding area, and then recovery with Carrie at my side, I had a bump It was a potassium burn from a nurse turning it up too high in my IV.
I felt like a very hot iron was laying on my arm! She had left the area afterwards and only she had authority to turn it down! I was screaming! excruciating pain with no relief. I cried out Jesus help me!!! and screamed that I was going to yank it out...3 times. Each time the Lord Jesus gave me strength to endure a bit longer and finally they found the nurse and they began to flush it. Worst pain I have ever had in my life! Selah. (Pause and think.) Our loving Creator, who IS LOVE, NEVER made hell for His creation.

The doctors were very surprised. No stoma. Couple hour surgery, no complications, blockage removed and only that area. Released and home 4 days later! ALL GLORY TO GOD ALONE! and hats off to the CC specialists whom I would highly recommend. The very best in their fields. Dr. Chris withstood with great patience all my arguing with him while I was still under the influence and happy we could get to the root of the IV pain medication not helping!(what they were using does not ever work on me) Wonderful Dr.
Dr. Liska was the most humble, gentle doctors that I have ever met. He told me about all the surprises they had. I told him...I SERVE A GOOD GOD! TY to all who held me up in prayer support along with my family! GBU richly.

I would not be still on this earth if it wasn't for my Lord. That's the absolute truth. Those who know me and all the physical hinderances I have had would vouch for this! HE has brough me out, brought me through, delivered me from death, SO many times. I know He has a plan, a wonderful plan. My daughter and I were standing looking ats.
over CC on a higher floor after a surgery walk. I felt HIM come upon me with His compassion for the ones coming in for help. Looking at them and then at Carrie I said, "I want to heal them . I just want to heal them." She immediately said, "AND you will!" For HIS GLORY AND COMPASSIONATE LOVE! May I be one of very many healers released soon for the multitude
