Anybody’s Dream is a convenience and variety store owned by Reginald Stroud, an entrepreneur, Army veteran and martial arts instructor. It’s been located at 4005 Hamilton Ave. for the past 10 years.

If you’d like to learn a bit about Reginald and his journey from Over-the-Rhine to Northside, please plan to attend the screening of “Good White People,” a short film that’s being screened 3-5pm on Sat 15 Aug at the Boxelder Community Room, just up the hill at 4573 Hamilton Ave.

There is a suggested donation of $10-20, with the proceeds going directly to Reginald. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion. Thanks to the Poverty Liberation Collective (PLC) and the Boxelder Community Room for hosting this event!

The store’s eye-catching sign was painted by Cincinnati artist Abby Friend. In a Cincinnati CityBeat article by Nick Swartsell, Friend said, “Anybody’s Dream is more than just a store. It is a place of persistence, resistance and sheer will.”

Owner Reginald Stroud is also a martial arts expert (Grandmaster) with more than 50 years of experience. He was the head martial arts instructor at the Cincinnati Arts Consortium, operated 3 martial arts schools, hosted more than 30 martial arts tournaments, and competed in over 50 martial arts tournaments, winning various awards.
