In the world of business schools ranking, the Princeton Review is unique in that it surveys current students about their student experience and what makes their respective MBA program unique. I always enjoy reading these snippets as I find the sentiments to be truest expressions of the Xavier MBA experience - an experience that I am highly biased about and take great pride in supporting & delivering. Being the Assistant Dean for Graduate Business Programs at Xavier is the best career in the world because of the amazing students with whom I have gotten to know and see grow & succeed as people and especially as leaders!

Xavier University is known to local Cincinnatians as “the best business school in [the] city” and is known across the country for its “great entrepreneurship program,” so it is no surprise that Xavier's MBA students feel well-prepared to make an impact in the business world. “Xavier is a great university that has their students’ success as their first priority.” Those enrolled in the MBA program note that it is “highly collaborative as well as competitive” and feel that all curriculum fulfills one of the Jesuit school's main mission: “Cura Personalis: care of the whole person." Whether students are taking an online or hybrid course, they respond that “each course is designed around a framework intent on serving the individual.” Students know that if they need assistance or have questions, their “professors are willing to go the extra mile to help.” Ultimately, graduates leave confident in their career prospects given the exceptional education and support they’ve received at Xavier.

What a great day! May 16th for the annual WCB Graduate Commencement Luncheon in Smith Hall, home of the Williams College of Business and Commencement at the Cintas Center!

Commencement 2026 is in the books! It was a great event for graduates and their guests!

Dr. James Loveland’s Full-Time MBA BAIS 550: Business Information Systems class has been working with the Cincinnati Reds Major League Baseball team this semester as part of the 10-year long Reds & Xavier partnership. The BAIS 550 course had the students presenting their Analytics research findings to the Reds.

Beta Gamma Sigma (BSG) is the premier international honor society for business programs accredited by AACSB International. This year 5 undergraduate students and 8 graduate students were induced by chapter president, Professor Jagan Jacob.

The Lavender Reception is a special gathering honoring all graduating members of the XU LGBTQ+ community, along with allies, friends, and supporters from every major, educational level, and background. Hope Ignited Stoling Ceremony (Thursday, May 14th, 5:30-6:30 pm)

Hope Ignited: Stoling Ceremony is rooted in the traditions of the Akan people of Ghana, dating back to the 17th century, where rites of passage honor growth, wisdom, and service to the community. At Xavier, this tradition reflects our commitment to Magis (seeking the greater good), Cura Personalis (care for the whole person), and journey with the youth towards a hope-filled future. All students registered to graduate in Fall 2025, Spring/Summer 2026, or Fall 2026 are invited to join us at the Hope Ignited Stoling Ceremony. Each graduate receives a blue and white handwoven stole, a symbol of their journey and transformation. Students may also bring stoles that reflect their personal identities, heritage, and the communities that have shaped them.
