On the evening of Wednesday July 27, 2011
On this date, all voluntary front of the house employees will donate 100% of their tips to the Northern Japan Earthquake Relief fund. We hope to sign up as many restaurants and bars as possible in the city of San Francisco and wherever else wants to help. We know in these economic times, what we are asking is a lot, but we hope in the spirit of unity and selflessness the industry can come together to make a difference.

As most of you know, there has been and horrific fire that tore through paradise/magalia and is still going strong. Thousands of people have lost everything they own. Most of them have nowhere to go and no belongings.
There are dozens of agencies out there that are helping out, where you can donate goods, sites to donate money and amazing people helping however they can.
We will post some on here and if you are able to do anything, I know lots of people would be extremely grateful.
We all need someone to lean on from time to time and this is definitely one of those times.
Alright.... So we are waiting for a couple more checks to come in, but until then we want to announce we have collected $32,000!
UPDATE: Money is still being collected but as of right now we are over $30,000......
There will be no update today because I’m too tired.... last night was amazing and thank you to all that came out!

UPDATE: The new count on donations is $18,034 and still rising!

Update: So far we have collected $14,556 from Chico Area businesses alone! We haven’t even started counting all the rest of the countries contributions.... this already is way beyond what we were estimating!!!

Update: Last night was Amazing! Great vibes throughout the community coming together and helping out our neighbors in Redding!
We won’t have a total on how much was raised until next week! We still have another event on Monday in Sacramento and everyone out of state is sending there money as we speak.
All I can say so far is my mind is blown on how much in just Chico has been raised! I’ll start given little amounts out tomorrow on where we stand!

Carr Fire Fundraiser Several servers and bartenders at various restaurants in our area are taking part in the Shasta Regional Community Foundation by donating their tips tonight to help victims of the Carr Fire!
