MPAACT announces auditions for the World Premiere of Sun Tea
Adapted and Directed by: Lauren Wells-Mann
Description
Shirley Carney is a celebrated writer. Her short stories have twice been adapted in critically acclaimed productions (Relevant Hearsay & Radical Hearsay). “Her stories unspool like a winding highway, traveling from crowded urban barrooms to the front parlors of small towns. These are not stories of violence and powerlessness, but those of hope and bravery.
AUDITION DATE: February 25th, 2026
AUDITION TIMES: 6-9pm
AUDITION LOCATION: at the Greenhouse Theatre Center 2257 N Lincoln Ave
CASTING
Black Women - 45-65
Audition Material: Sides will be sent to prepare
Stipend: $150
Rehearsals begins: March 9th
Opening: First Preview-April 17th, Opening April 26th. Closing May 31st.
