Jahn Elementary

On Friday, May 29th, the Class of 2026 walked the halls one last time as Jahn students. After the hallway parade, where students and staff pre-K to 7th lined up to cheer them on, they filed into the auditorium to take the stage. Emotions were high as families enjoyed solo and group performances, speeches and each graduate’s final walk across the stage. Follow along this summer as we post our traditional graduate profiles ♥️

El viernes 29 de mayo, la clase de 2026 recorrió los pasillos por última vez como alumnos de Jahn. Tras el desfile por los pasillos —donde estudiantes y personal, desde preescolar hasta séptimo grado, se alinearon para animarlos— se dirigieron al auditorio para subir al escenario. Se vivieron momentos muy emotivos mientras las familias disfrutaban de actuaciones individuales y en grupo, discursos y el recorrido final de cada graduado por el escenario.

¡Felicidades a la promoción de 2026 de Jahn! Mucha suerte en todos sus proyectos futuros, ya sea cerca o lejos, y recuerden: para nosotros, siempre serán "Huskies" 🐾.

The Jahn Green Team was a new initiative led by our fabulous Ms. Gibrick, and they had a fantastic year!

This dedicated group built a greenhouse, grew plants from seeds, created a giant Earth display, planted flowers, and developed their “Sort Your Trash” game. They also participated in the Earth Day event and taught Pre-K students how to compost in the classroom.

The Green Team is excited for what’s ahead this fall as they continue garden projects, composting efforts, and educating others about ways to help protect our planet.

Thank you, Ms. Gibrick, for all the love, energy, and dedication you put into this group- thank you to all of the students who helped make the Green Team such a magical success!

¡El Equipo Verde de Jahn fue una nueva iniciativa dirigida por nuestra fabulosa Ms. Gibrick y tuvo un año fantástico!

Este dedicado grupo construyó un invernadero, cultivó plantas a partir de semillas, creó una gran exhibición del planeta Tierra, plantó flores y desarrolló su juego “¡Clasifica tu Basura!”. También participó en el evento del Día de la Tierra y enseñó a los estudiantes de Pre-K cómo hacer compostaje en el salón de clases.

El Equipo Verde está entusiasmado por todo lo que les espera este otoño mientras continúan con proyectos de jardinería, esfuerzos de compostaje y la educación de otros sobre maneras de ayudar a proteger nuestro planeta.

¡Gracias, Ms. Gibrick, por todo el amor, la energía y la dedicación que ha puesto en este grupo! Y gracias a todos los estudiantes que ayudaron a que el Equipo Verde fuera un éxito tan especial y mágico.

At Jahn, we work hard and celebrate hard, too! On May 22nd, 8th graders and their families gathered at the Boys & Girls Club for their awards banquet. After sharing a wonderful meal together, every student was celebrated for their successes, growth, and unique strengths.

Keep swiping to see our Huskies dressed to the nines and letting loose on their 8th grade luncheon river cruise on May 26th. Nostalgia and emotions were high as they realized the next step was… GRADUATION!

¡En Jahn trabajamos duro, pero también celebramos a lo grande! El 22 de mayo, los alumnos de octavo grado y sus familias se reunieron en el Boys & Girls Club para su banquete de premios. Tras compartir una comida maravillosa, se reconoció a cada estudiante por sus logros, su crecimiento y sus fortalezas únicas.

Sigue deslizando para ver a nuestros "Huskies" luciendo sus mejores galas y divirtiéndose al máximo durante el crucero-almuerzo de octavo grado, celebrado el 26 de mayo. La nostalgia y las emociones estaban a flor de piel al darse cuenta de que el siguiente paso era... ¡la GRADUACIÓN!

Thank you for a wonderful end to the school year! Graduations, celebrations, field trips, field days have all been opportunities for our special community to come together. Thank you to everyone who went out of their way to help-especially our parents and room representatives- for creating so much JOY.

Hola familias de Jahn,

Gracias por un final de año escolar maravilloso. Las graduaciones, celebraciones, excursiones y días de campo han sido oportunidades para que nuestra comunidad especial se una. Gracias a todos los que hicieron un esfuerzo adicional para ayudar, especialmente a nuestros padres y representantes de aula, por crear tanta ALEGRÍA.

On May 13th, Mrs. Rodkey, Mr. Albo and our 8th graders headed out for their legacy trip: a 3 day jam-packed adventure in Boston full of history, community building and FUN! It was a celebration, not only of their time at Jahn, but of their hard work and perseverance in fundraising all year to make this trip possible. To everyone who came out for a dining night, ordered Jahn socks, bought a snow cone or chocolate bar, volunteered for movie night and so much more – THANK YOU, we raised over $8,000 and we could not have done this without you. We are so grateful for our Jahn family 🐾

El 13 de mayo, la Sra. Rodkey, el Sr. Albo y nuestros alumnos de 8.º grado partieron hacia su viaje de despedida: ¡una aventura de tres días repleta de actividades en Boston, llena de historia, espíritu comunitario y mucha DIVERSIÓN! Fue una celebración, no solo de su tiempo en Jahn, sino también de su arduo trabajo y perseverancia en la recaudación de fondos a lo largo de todo el año para hacer posible este viaje. A todos los que asistieron a las noches de cena, pidieron calcetines de Jahn, compraron raspados o barras de chocolate, se ofrecieron como voluntarios para la noche de cine y mucho más: ¡GRACIAS! Al fin recaudamos más de $8,000 en total y no habríamos podido lograr esto sin ustedes. Estamos inmensamente agradecidos con nuestra familia Jahn 🐾

Jahn Field Day 2026 is in the books! Students pre-k through 7th (and many returning 8th grade grad helpers) had a blast on inflatable obstacle courses, potato sack races, water relay games, and more. Thank you to Coach Crystal for organizing such a fun event and of course to all the volunteers who made it possible!

¡El Día de Campo de Jahn 2026! Los estudiantes desde preescolar hasta 7.º grado (y muchos graduados de 8.º grado que regresaron como ayudantes) se divirtieron a lo grande en las pistas de obstáculos inflables, las carreras de sacos, los juegos de agua y mucho más. ¡Gracias a la Coach Crystal por organizar un evento tan divertido y, por supuesto, a todos los voluntarios que lo hicieron posible!

Your child’s teacher is giving each student a crayon to go home with today. It’s a paw print crayon that represents all of us. We are different and unique but all part of the Jahn family!
