This is Pride ๐ŸŒˆ

For Beck, Pride means living authentically while helping create a future where everyone in our community can live with dignity and joy.

Through Center on Halstedโ€™s Inclusive Futures Leadership Institute (IFLI), Beck connected with LGBTQ+ and allied leaders committed to creating a more equitable future. Along the way, they built meaningful friendships, professional connections, and a lasting sense of community.

Reflecting on their experience, Beck shares, โ€œCenter on Halsted has been a place where Iโ€™ve been privileged to find immense support and community.โ€

Throughout Pride Month, weโ€™ll be sharing stories from community members like Beck reflecting on what Pride means to them and how Center on Halstedโ€™s programs, services, and community spaces have supported their journeys.

And thanks to supporters Holly King and Kenneth Jaconetty, all donations made through June 30 will be matched 1:1 up to $45,000.

This is Pride ๐ŸŒˆ

For Jim Litton, community at Center on Halsted has meant connection, belonging, and even friendship in unexpected places.

A longtime participant in Pride in Aging programming, Jim says, โ€œCenter on Halsted brings us together. It allows us to have a second or even third wind in our lives.โ€

From tai chi classes to senior lunches, Jim found more than programming. He found a community.

Throughout Pride Month, weโ€™ll be sharing stories from community members like Jim reflecting on what Pride means to them and how Center on Halstedโ€™s programs, services, and community spaces have supported their journeys.

And thanks to supporters Holly King and Kenneth Jaconetty, all new and increased gifts made through June 30 will be matched 1:1 up to $45,000.
