We are proud to share that our Founder, Carlos Hernandez, is being honored by the Humboldt Park Earth Day Committee.
Three decades ago, Carlos Hernandez founded the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance with a vision to ensure Puerto Rican arts, culture, and artists had a place to thrive in Chicago. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a nationally recognized organization creating opportunities for artists, students, and communities across the city and beyond.
Congratulations, Carlos, on this well deserved recognition. Gracias por tu compromiso con nuestra cultura, nuestra comunidad, y las futuras generaciones. ππ³

Still reflecting on this special moment.
The first photo is with .ve447 , one of our longtime students, who was backstage at SueΓ±os performing with another group. Seeing young people weβve worked with step onto stages like this is a reminder of why we do this work.
Moments like these, alongside the investment from Amazon Music, Amazon Community Engagement, and Fuerza Regida, are about creating opportunities for the next generation of Latino artists, musicians, and creatives in Chicago.
We are proud of Oliver and every young artist working toward their dreams.
