Save a 21-Year Wicker Park Legacy: Metamorph Studios
The Story:
For 21 years, Metamorph Studios has been a fixture of Wicker Park culture. We have survived two decades of neighborhood shifts and economic cycles by remaining a sanctuary for art, identity, and creative expression.
If you’ve been part of the Chicago arts scene, you might also know me through CARRORISM, the charity I founded and personally funded from 2016 to 2020 (view our history at Instagram: ). I have always believed that a legacy shop’s job is to pour back into its community. For years, that is exactly what I did.
The Crisis:
Today, I am facing a crossroads I never imagined. 2025 was a devastating year, resulting in a $59,000 loss. The combination of a shifting workforce and rising costs has left Metamorph in a vulnerable position.
I am currently six months behind on rent, and without immediate help, this 21-year legacy will come to an end. Because of the financial losses in 2025, traditional bank loans and grants are currently out of reach. For the first time in two decades, I am the one who must ask for a lifeline.
The Goal: $46,000 to Rebuild
I am fighting to raise $46,000 to ensure Metamorph doesn’t just survive, but stabilizes. This funding will cover:
* $21,000 for Back Rent: To satisfy our lease and secure our home in Wicker Park.
* $25,000 for Operating Capital: To provide the runway needed to restructure our team, adapt to the new labor market, and cover essential overhead while we pivot our business model.

This isn’t just about a storefront; it’s about preserving a piece of Wicker Park’s soul. I have spent my career investing in this city and its artists. Now, I am asking for your help to keep the doors of Metamorph open.

THE DEAL:

60/40 Commission OR $1,500/mo Booth Rent.
Shop provides: High-visibility location, equipment and furniture, sharps containers, stencil printers, and paper.
Artist provides: Your own kit, supplies, and a relentless work ethic.
