VIP = Very Important Pets 😂

Enjoyed networking with Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce this morning hosted at Sonesta Hotels in downtown Seattle.

Met a bunch of great folks doing awesome work in and around Seattle!

I was delighted by Sonesta Hotels that has a VIP Guest board - for their Very Important Pets staying in the hotel.

I was traveling back from San Diego yesterday, so today was my Monday. Great way to kick off the week!

Hoping the same for you all!

Isn’t it? ⬇️.
As a ICF coach, I’ve seen firsthand how a journey of personal development is inextricably connected to professional success. Every session, every insight gained, is a step closer to not only being better at what you do but becoming who you’re meant to be..
We must invest in ourselves and invest in our teams. The skills you refine, the habits you form, and the mindset you cultivate - these HIGHLY personal things - go beyond the personal; they’re the foundation of your professional growth. .
You’ve heard that every great athlete has a coach. Why wouldn’t every great professional - every great person - have one, too?.....

Im at the tail end of a busy week with a few highlights!
-
Getting the opportunity to attend the 2024 Alliance Northwest conference in Tacoma Washington. Here I connected with businesses working and supporting local, state, and federal government contracts.
-
On top of this event and some tremendous client work, I’ve got some exciting things in the works!
-
Be well and and when you see this, spend some time taking care of yourself!

Not quite word for word, but close to a conversation I had this weekend..
This stems from the best advice I got during my engineering career..
Every job you have is an interview. Further, every interaction you have with ANYBODY is, too..
This is a call to perform, to show up, to be curious, and to stay open..
It doesn’t matter where you’re at or what you think might be next, you never know when the next branch of your journey will intersect your current path..
So show up, find your authenticity, lead with purpose and passion, and great things will follow.

Racism and systemic injustice are made possible by judgment and fear. Judgment of others and of things we don’t understand. Fear of losing what we have and not getting what we want. Driven by judgment and blinded by fear, systems get constructed that consolidate and protect power.
.

Fear and judgment have become so ingrained in our culture that we often don’t see when they’re playing a role. This applies to our own internal thoughts, our communities, our workplaces, the media, the government - everything.
.

If you have time off of work, please enjoy it and take a moment to reflect on how fear and judgment impact your experience.

Take a moment and consider:
- What are you settling for?
- What would be different if you weren’t?.
The answer might be, “everything”.
This quote highlight that it’s a very human trait to settle..
The upside when we don’t is MASSIVE..

John Craigie has been a long time favorite singer/songwriter of mine. This is one of his lyrics, and I smile every time I hear it..
It highlights something so important - the reality that as our age increases, we're constantly becoming a new version of ourselves..
Every interaction we have, every new thing we learn, everything we try and fail at, everything we do changes who we are and shapes us into a new version of ourselves..
We're all always changing, and we're all brand new..
So, a question for you:
If you REALLY believed this, that you're constantly brand new, what would be different?.
