In honor of Latino/a/x History Month, Latin Professionals Impacting Society (LAPIS) is excited to partner with the American Red Cross on September 30th, 2024 to launch the first of what we hope will be many blood drives. We’ll be working together to give back to the community in a truly life changing way since each donation we collect can save up to three lives.

There are many ways you can help, but most importantly we hope you come out to donate. I've already signed up, and we’re looking forward to seeing many more of you on September 30.

The Red Cross has been making a humanitarian impact for more than 130 years, and has been collecting blood for over 70 of those years. LAPIS can be part of something important when we work with the Red Cross to strengthen the blood supply and give back to our community.

LAPIS teams up with Veteran's Assistance Commission of Cook County for a wonderful holiday event!

LAPIS kicked off the holiday season with the 1st ever FRIENDSGIVING! It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, share a delicious meal and share much needed laughs. Thank you to our wonderful host Elizabeth Soto! Elizabeth decorated the room so beautifully!

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!

This year LAPIS came together in partnership with Build to donate 60 pair of shoes to Asylum Seekers being housed in 15th and 25th police districts.

We want to thank everyone that donated shoes or money to help get new items for Asylum seekers that were mostly men and women from Nicagura, Venezuela, and Ecuador. Gracias for supporting this project and sponsoring people with your generousity!

This year LAPIS donated 54 Christmas gifts to CICS Bucktown Elementary students and to the After School Matters Program. The gifts included books, pj's, and fuzzy slippers. Thank you to everyone who contributed financially, shopped for gifts, and helped distribute them! A special thanks to our very own Santa Claus Carlos Gallardo! Merry Christmas from LAPIS!
