I'm an illustrator, Printmaker and a dream catcher

06/20/2025

I'm planning to create another line of illustration in total different style from my usual. It will be cat related drawings.

Hello, 36. ðŸŽĻâœĻ

These past few years have been kind to me. There’s a saying in Thai—āļŸāđ‰āļēāļŦāļĨāļąāļ‡āļāļ™āļĒāđˆāļāļĄāļŠāļ§āļĒāļ‡āļēāļĄāđ€āļŠāļĄāļâ€”“The sky after the rain is always beautiful.” In English, we say, “After every storm, there’s a rainbow,” or “Every cloud has a silver lining.” Honestly, I’m starting to see mine.

I’m now working a job that pays me decently and fills me with purpose. It’s one I dreamed of when I was younger but never imagined I’d actually have. I chose it for the schedule—it made sense for a single mom—but it ended up being a role that feeds both my purpose and my passion.

Like many people, my life goals have shifted. Sometimes, a new path just makes more sense for who you are at that moment. Do I regret some of the choices I made? F*ck yes. Would I change any of it? Hell no. I believe every experience happens for a reason. āļŠāļīāđˆāļ‡āđƒāļ”āđ€āļāļīāļ”āļ‚āļķāđ‰āļ™āđāļĨāđ‰āļ§ āļŠāļīāđˆāļ‡āļ™āļąāđ‰āļ™āļŠāļ§āļĒāļ‡āļēāļĄāđ€āļŠāļĄāļâ€”“Whatever has happened is always beautiful.”

2020–2021 were some of the darkest years of my life. Domestic abuse. Financial abuse. A global pandemic. DCFS involvement. Court hearings—alone—from late 2021 through 2023. No family support. Not even emotional. My own mom blamed me for what happened. Said it was my fault for “not knowing when to shut up.”

Then I looked at my then-4-year-old son—this sweet, kind little boy who is my everything. And I made a promise: to be the best mama I could possibly be.

Since then, I’ve earned a Master’s degree and a postgraduate degree. I adapted into the world of education while making sure my son grew socially, emotionally, and academically. And I found someone who sees me—who values me, respects me, appreciates me, and is proud of me.

Today, I’m a mom, a special education teacher, a school technology coordinator, and a teacher leader in robotics for our computer science department. I build connections, grow skills, and never stop learning.

I want to make unisex shirt but I'm not sure if my straight male customers would buy them because of the color, but it's more fun this way. Or should I play safe and go with more basic colors?
Thought?
