A beautiful and tasteful celebration for such a great guy. He was truly a Radio media Renaissance man in many ways.

This morning, family, friends, and the who’s who of Chicago and beyond came out to pay their respects to the life & times of pioneering and famed photographer Jimmy Bell.

Jimmy Bell was the devoted husband of Carrie Bell and the father of Shandrea Bell. Jimmy Bell lived an incredible life as a professional photographer for the Quaker Oats Company and as a private photographer with a very popular photography business.

Jimmy Bell was celebrated today like the KING he was, right down to his daughter crowning him before his final viewing. From beautiful musical tributes to words of comfort shared by several noted clergy members.

Shout out to my beloved Shandrea for a job well done-your dad would be very proud of his homegoing service. 🙏🏾❤️

Today, I celebrate 13 years of being in remission from cancer. I battled a rare form of blood (leukemia) cancer that is still considered a chronic illness, but it is inactive, or has no detectable symptoms. 👍🏾🙌🏾❤️

I give God all the Glory for covering me, yet broken, bruised, but still here. 🙏🏾👍🏾🙌🏾❤️

Every day I live in the principal of
Isaiah 40:31- promising that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, rising above circumstances, running without weariness, and walking without fainting. 🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾❤️🙏🏾♥️

2nd stop this evening with my partner in social events, Katrina: we attended the Chicago Fashion Coalition at Chez in honor of the 2026 MET Gala. This is the fifth annual Chicago celebration of Chicago does the MET. 👠👗🎩🥻

The fashion focus, savvy, and creatives came out in full force to celebrate the 2026 Met Gala theme, "Costume Art," which celebrates the Costume Institute’s new permanent galleries by exploring the relationship between the dressed body, fashion, and art throughout history. 👍🏾🙌🏾💃🏽🕺🏻🥂🌟

1st stop of the evening was at the 49th-floor penthouse home of businessman, philanthropist, and perennial political candidate Dr. Willie Wilson. PR Maven Lisa E orchestrated this private, invite-only dinner gathering.

I’m impressed with Dr. Wilson’s drive and passion for others, as he often gives away gas and food cards to Chicago residents. It makes me proud to see a black man live and work to better others' lives. 👍🏾🙌🏾

Current situation: Thankful & grateful to everyone who came out to support The House Always Wins 2026 at Carnivale Chicago.

This evening was a great benefit for the Guest House Foundation-it was a party with a purpose and supported medical patients and military veterans in need.

Guest House is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We provide comfortable and affordable temporary lodging for patients traveling to Chicago for medical treatment, regardless of age or diagnosis. We also support military veterans receiving treatment for PTSD through the Road Home Program.

Our facility is conveniently located near top-rated hospitals and welcomes patients of all ages with a range of medical conditions.

The Guest House offers 54 fully furnished apartments, including one, two, and three-bedroom options. Each unit features a separate living room, kitchen, and private bathroom. Additionally, we provide free streaming TV and Wi-Fi.

We partner with Rush University Medical Center, Stroger Hospital of Cook County, UI Health, Northwestern Hospital, and the University of Chicago Medicine. Furthermore, we collaborate with the Road Home Program for Veterans and Their Families at Rush, the American Cancer Society, and the Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network.
