FreshLens Chicago

Our Event Corp team was hired out to shoot the latest Innovation 80 event.

Innovation80 has been a vital partner to FreshLens Chicago and the CoGen program.

FreshLens’ CoGen program is a 7-week project-based class for photography students that pairs retired adults with high school students. Through interviewing each other, pairs discover common interests which lead to their designing and developing a photography project together. Beyond the class itself, this program is meant to foster a co-generational, mutual learning relationship and produce a space for intergenerational collaboration. This represents a mini step to combat the pervasive issue of ageism.

Thank you everyone who came out and supported our students at the last showcase. For those who purchased a print, our students have packed and sent out your photos. Keep a look out for them.

For those who missed out on purchasing a print in person you are still able to support our students at our online shop.

If you purchase a print, know that 50% of the revenue goes directly to the student you supported!

Our Basic Photography class teaches our students camera basics, editing basics, and printing basics. Our students come away with the confidence to use their cameras outside of the classroom and start to develop their own specific style.

Just a little bit about us of you don’t know who we are. We are a Chicago based not-for-profit who serves high schoolers with under funded or no art programs. Obviously we focus on photography📸

We are free to our students but they have to apply and interview for our program. Our instructors are pros in the field and we are trying to get more kids into photography by teaching them the basics and providing them cameras and equipment as they progress through our courses.

We are excited to announce that FreshLens Chicago has won an NBCUniversal . We are excited to drive impact and strengthen our local community.

Thanks NBC Chicago & Telemundo Chicago
