CHICAGO HITMEN SPOTLIGHT

C - Grant Mullin

Grant is a catcher at St. Rita of Cascia High School in Chicago, IL. He is another member of the Hitmen that is an excellent student carrying a 4.6 GPA and a 26 ACT score. Another, true student-athlete.

Grant has been a key contributor to a highly successful high school program both in Illinois and nationally. He was heavily recruited over the last few months before committing to Eureka College in Eureka, IL. This summer Grant will be back behind the plate as the signal caller for a very strong pitching staff for the Hitmen. He will be looked to as a leader and mentor for the younger Hitmen players this summer as the team expects to be extremely competitive.

CHICAGO HITMEN SPOTLIGHT

SP - Garrett Swanson

Garret is a pitcher and third baseman at Chesterton High School in Chesterton, IN. He is also an excellent student carrying a 3.85 GPA and a 1770 SAT score. He is a true student-athlete.

Garrett emerged this past summer as the Hitmen staff ace.He was well recruited over the last few months before finally committing to Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI. This summer Garrett will again anchor a strong pitching staff for the Hitmen. He will be the elder statesmen on this staff this year and will be looked to teach and lead this young staff as they develop and embark on the recruiting trail.

It's getting close to that time again this year. TIME FOR HITMEN BASEBALL!!! As the Hitmen get closer to the start of their 2015 summer schedule, their 3rd as an organization, be on the lookout for the Chicago Hitmen Spotlight. The spotlight will feature current Hitmen players and coaches throughout the summer!!!

Hitmen Fans...The Hitmen play our summer opener tonight at 8pm at Riverside Park against the Indiana Chiefs. The address for the field is 7839 Columbia, Dyer, IN 46311.

Come out and watch some great baseball under the lights on what looks to be a beautiful summer evening.

The Chicago Hitmen open their summer season this weekend in Hammond, Indiana in the Indiana Chiefs Invitational. They will have games Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. With a great combination of old Hitmen and new Hitmen, this should be the start of an amazingly fun-filled winning summer.
