We will be celebrating recent publications by two of our affiliated faculty members: Dr. Rocío Ferreira (De las Veladas literarias de Lima, 1876–1877 a la Cocina ecléctica: mujeres, nación y cultura en el Perú decimonónico) and Dr. Susana Martinez (Coming of Age(ncy) on the Migrant Trail: Adolescent Journeys in Contemporary Latinx Young Adult Literature).

El Consulado General del Perú en Chicago tiene el agrado de invitar a la comunidad a la conferencia “Forging Peru–United States Scientific Collaboration through Archaeology and Bioarchaeology”, en el marco del 200° aniversario del establecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas entre el Perú y los Estados Unidos.

El evento contará con la participación de los destacados académicos Jane E. Buikstra (Arizona State University) y John W. Rick (Stanford University), y se llevará a cabo el martes 5 de mayo de 2026, a las 10:00 a.m., en el Ward Hall del Field Museum of Natural History (1400 S. DuSable Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, IL 60605).

Se informa que no es necesario realizar registro previo para asistir. Asimismo, se recomienda utilizar el West Entrance, por ser el acceso más cercano al auditorio.
