We are excited for the next chapter of powering our Library and empowering every Chicagoan

Four Decades of Stories:

YOUmedia began as a pilot for teens to build, create, and express themselves, and has since grown into more than 30 spaces citywide, becoming a model for libraries nationwide.

More importantly, YOUmedia has served as a safe space for teens across our city to learn, experiment, and grow into their potential.

It started with donors like you who believed in what our Chicago Public Library can be for Chicago's youth.

It's back-to-school season! And our Teachers in the Library are getting ready to help students with their homework, build study habits with families, and make sure Chicago's youth are prepared for the next school year!

Summer at CPL just wrapped. Thousands celebrated the stories and creativity of our city at Chicago Public Library! There were games, performances, and of course, reading for Chicagoans of every age!

Thank you to everyone who participated. We hope this was a summer of curiosity and learning for you.
