Autonomous Tenants Union (ATU) The Autonomous Tenants Union (ATU) is a tenant-led volunteer collective based in Albany Park, Chicago.
ATU is dedicated to advancing the interests of working-class tenants by building a mass movement. We do this by building tenants unions to fight against evictions and for dignified living conditions. We educate ourselves on how to organize and win, and seek to create a community based on solidarity and cooperation

Let’s get Roger & Betty to the Choctaw Nation’s reservation in Mississippi! They will be with family and receive the daily healthcare that they need instead of being separated under state care. Roger & Betty have been fighting their landlord with us and their building’s tenants union for the last few years. Because the health of both of them requires up to 24/7 care, relocating to their reservation is the best and most loving option. We need to raise almost $10K to get them there!
