Once every few years I’ll hear music that stirs, songs I return to in both thoughtful and absent-minded moments.

My friend and brother recently put out a record (“Death Farm”) that makes me feel like I’ve discovered music all over again.

Next Friday (11/7) he’ll play through the album at - if you’re in Chicago, you are one lucky bug 😍

wav - Starting producer who brought these songs to life from day one. The man has endless patience and willingness to explore new directions, and helped me navigate a lot of unfamiliar musical territory. Working alongside engineer Tate Sablatura, they came through on four different recording attempts across various locations and all gave tons of hours to the project.

- Shot photos and videos in Nashville and Chicago, while also helping guide the project’s visual direction since day one. His emotional insight helped bring shape to both visual and audio decisions in large ways. For anyone in Nashville seeking visual collaborators, contact this fella.

- My partner who embraced this project despite its focus on processing past relationships. From interior design during recordings to endless creative direction and way too many conversations (love u), she’s been an invaluable supporter of me and of Furn.

- After moving to Chicago, Carl helped me rediscover these songs’ core meaning. We collaborated on rewrites and new recordings to complement the Nashville sessions. Watch for his upcoming music, it will be music you don’t forget. I guarantee it.

- my sister contributed her film photography skills (and many snacks) across two shoots. I highly recommend fighting for your relationship with your siblings and maybe even making some art along the way
