Cook County 4-H

It's not too late to make your voice heard! Help guide the development of our programs, services, and partnerships in Cook County by participating in our countywide needs assessment.
Eligible participants can enter a drawing for a chance to win a prize from one of our many local donors, including the Chicago White Sox, Cooper's Hawk Winery, Portillo's, the Morton Arboretum, and many more!

STEM Day was a success! Urban Adventures worked hard planning this event for our county.

-Dylan and Owen taught an introduction to Tinkercad workshop where kids designed their pendants. They also had the opportunity to print it out and take it home.

-Shawn and his mom, Amy, taught an introduction to scratch coding. The kids spun the robot through the obstacle course Shawn designed.

-Fritz led younger kids through snap circuits with some fun kits

-Izzy and Gretchen led squishy circuits- using conductive and non-conductive playdough, create little critters with lights that can light up if your circuit is complete

The 4-H members also provided some free and open centers to rotate at your own pace. They had Magnetic Tiles and Kapla block building challenges that are leveled skill builders. Lastly, a coloring area for those needing a calm space to work!

Good Job, Urban Adventures! We are looking forward to having this event again.
