I used to think the setbacks were punishment.

Now I know they were preparation.

God will sit you down before He stands you up.
He will humble you before He highlights you.

The quiet seasons?
That’s where character is formed.

If you’re in a stretching season right now…
Don’t panic.

Promotion follows preparation.

For years I thought I was the problem.

Too happy.
Too visible.
Too much.

What I didn’t realize was that my nervous system was responding to old social wounds… not present danger.

Episode 3 is about decoding that pattern.

If you’ve ever walked into a room and felt the temperature shift… this one is for you.

Spent the day with two little girls I’ve loved since baby curls and missing teeth… now somehow 17 and 15, thoughtful, curious, and becoming themselves right in front of me. Watching their evolution is one of my life’s greatest privileges. Today was full, my heart even fuller.

This year wasn’t about becoming louder.
It was about becoming clear.

2025 asked me to show up in rooms I once only imagined.
Panels. New cities. New friendships. Quiet nights that felt just as powerful as the loud ones.

30 Days to Becoming Her wasn’t a challenge.
It was a commitment to myself.
To move with intention.
To stop shrinking.
To trust the version of me that keeps choosing growth even when it’s uncomfortable.

I met new people who reflected parts of me I’d been nurturing in private.
I celebrated wins without rushing past them.
I learned that becoming “her” isn’t about arrival… it’s about alignment.

Closing this chapter proud, grounded, and deeply grateful.
Walking into 2026 softer where it matters, stronger where it counts, and fully committed to the woman I’m still becoming. ✨

A good woman always wins.
Not loudly, not immediately, but inevitably.
Time has a way of telling the truth without being asked.

Mariah brought the nostalgia, I brought the holiday joy. Grateful for nights like this and the people I get to share them with. ✨❤️

Thanksgiving was peaceful. My mirror was peaceful. I am peaceful.

What’s not peaceful? Folks creating storylines I never auditioned for.

The beautiful thing about growing up is realizing you don’t have to chase down every rumor.

You just keep showing up as yourself and let the truth do the heavy lifting.

Here’s to choosing maturity… even when other people choose mess.

My baby brother is a married man.
Today felt like watching God’s promises unfold in real time.

Freddy J, you grew into the man we prayed for, steady, kind, grounded, and full of love. And Tolu… the way you glow is the way you love. Graceful. Peaceful. Beautiful in every sense.

Standing beside you both today was an honor.
A reminder that family is not just who you grow up with, it is who you grow into with.

Here is to a lifetime of prayer, partnership, purpose, and laughter that fills rooms.
I love you both more than these smiles can show. 🤍✨

Today I stepped into another year, more aware, more grounded, and finally willing to see myself the way the world has been seeing me all along.

For the last 30 days I’ve been peeling back layers, unlearning old stories, and becoming the woman I kept saying I didn’t have time to become. Turns out she was never missing, I just needed to pause long enough to look.

We don’t always realize how much our own eyes can lie to us. We edit ourselves, shrink ourselves, critique ourselves, while everyone else is watching us shine like it’s nothing.
So this year I gave myself permission to step in front of the camera, to sit in good light, to take up space, to see what others see without rushing to dim it. And honestly, it felt like holding up a mirror to my own evolution.

These photos aren’t just pictures. They’re receipts. Proof that beauty, growth, and softness have been here the whole time, even on the days I didn’t feel it.

So here’s to another year of becoming,
Becoming softer,
Becoming bolder,
Becoming clearer,
Becoming her, out loud, on purpose, and without apology.

And if you needed a sign to see yourself through a kinder lens,
Baby, let this be it.

Happy Birthday to me 🤎✨

I’m 24 hours away from 40… and honestly, I feel like I’ve lived six lifetimes already. Every version of me got me here. Some loud, some hurting, some healing, all necessary.

This next chapter? I’m choosing intention, softness, and rooms that honor who I’ve become.

If you’ve been walking this journey with me, join me on the pod tomorrow. We’re unpacking the lessons, the losses, the wins, and the becoming. Because 40 isn’t the finish line… it’s the evolution.

Two stories. One evolution.
“Birds of a Feather” reminds me that growth doesn’t always mean flying the same way, but it does mean rising higher.
