Project Spitfire
Where music saves lives An experienced videographer has also offered to produce several music videos for the project.
We are producing a top quality 'stop the violence' album with 15-20 songs from young undiscovered artists representing Chicago's most violent and under-served neighborhoods.
Check out some old footage from back in May: Jsmoove on cursing in his music (http://youtu.be/V2AEf_g4MN8) and DBoy freestyling to a live R&B performance (http://youtu.be/8PozDuyyW44)
Needing some advice: would you still download the album when it comes out even if each track is released online first?

Interesting article about Englewood, youth violence, and sports. I happen to disagree with a few points in here but I'd like to hear your thoughts!
Can basketball help hope bloom in Englewood? - Chicago Sun-Times PART 1: Derrick Rose’s legacy is everywhere in Englewood. But so are bullets, desperation and decay. In the first of a series, Rick Telander visits Rose’s boyhood park to see whether sports can still provide a means of relief.

Bullet out the Chamber- Castro + Noble Track submitted by Castro and Noble for our demo contest. Remixed by Raul Parra (Omegawatt Studios) and Andy Bosnak (StudioChicago).
I look at what we do as a way to launch our participants. I hope that the work they do with us only yields much greater opportunities down the road. quite happy then to see this comment on our music video for our artist Young DBoy Low:
"DBoy you should get at me. You know I own one of the tightest labs in bronzeville, and enough hot tracks to record 3 cats everyday for the rest of they life. Not trying to step on any toes with whatever camp you’re with, but I can see a visonary in you, and would like to work with you. You remind me of younger version of a veteran Chicago MC named Negativity from a legendary group called Xplicit Behavior that I work with. I’d like to get the two of you together." - Will B.
